Kyle S S1 was an intense ride. I really enjoyed the idea of a large group of people in one location with uncertainty of what was happening on the outside while having their own issues inside. In a short amount of episodes I liked a few people and I wanted a few to die. But what the show did well is portray a variety of responses on how people reacted differently in that type of situation. Out of all the apocalypse type shows, this one seemed to have a higher sense of urgency and suspense to it. The pacing was pretty quick. You didnt have to spend multiple episodes waiting for something to happen. Issues constantly were arising. Highly recommend S1. But S2 is a different review entirely. Despite the other worldly characters and premise, the stories within are very human and the plot is intriguing. The first episode was alright, but the rest is trash. The music and visual stuff was pretty good but the directing was terrible. It's hard to feel scared for the characters safety when the monsters will patiently wait for them to escape or just stop chasing them for no apparent reason. It's often unclear what's going on, it feels like the director/s think they're being clever but they're inexperienced 12 year olds so it's actually super cringe.
